Sometimes it is necessary for physiotherapy to be provided in the home or nursing home and this is a service provided by e-physiotherapy. Lack of mobility is one of the main reasons for requiring a home visit and we can help with getting mobility back whether it is due to low back pain, a stroke, a fall or neurological conditions.

The Stroke Association and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy are calling for more funding for stroke rehabilitation after discharge from hospital as between 41 and 60 percent of stroke survivors are not happy with their rehabilitation and do not reach their full potential. Home visits within a mile of the clinic location can be arranged and sometimes further away. If there is more travel involved the amount of time for treatment and exercises will be more limited. The standard fee is for a 1 hour treatment sessions, this includes travel time to and from the clinic.

Manual treatments such as massage, joint mobilization, myofascial release, and muscle energy techniques can be used in a home or nursing home setting. Exercises can be prescribed and supervised and it is often useful for relatives, carers or friends to help out with these in between visits if possible.

Treatment in the clinic is always preferable as it enables more treatment variety as well as more time with the therapist. If you want to arrange a home visit for yourself ,a relative, or friend please phone to arrange a time on 07544 706 807 or email enquiries@e-physiotherapy.co.uk
